Matrox Silicone Filled UHMW Sheet is a specially formulated gray silicone filled polymer. Matrox is specifically designed for wherever bulk materials are transported, stored or processed and where wear and sticking cause stoppages in the work process. For a smooth process, the material flow is of particular importance. Traditional steel surfaces become rough or corroded causing the bulk material to stick to the steel. These problems cause deterioration while productivity and quality control are compromised. Also, this UHMW liner sheet, with a molecular weight between 3.5 – 5.0 million, protects the steel substrates while it enhances enhances material flow. The life span of Matrox® is substantially longer than that of conventional construction steel. In the sand-slurry wear test, Matrox® achieved a value of 80 which is 46% better than that of steel at 150. With its high wear resistance, the Matrox material is an excellent solution for wear and corrosion problems and meets the high requirements for the lining of cold feed hoppers, bins, chutes, silos and bunkers. Especially relevant, special additives allow even hot materials such as asphalt to release quickly without sticking. Matrox silicone filled UHMW is great in high temperature applications where the additive acts to block oxidation which will break up lesser grades of UHMW.
